A place for Ibra?

Everyone knows who Zlatan Ibrahimovic is and what he is capable of. This is why he has been so heavily mentioned in this summer's transfer market. There is no doubt he is tallented footballer who is able to score plenty goals but what would a team be sacrificing for the Swedish International?... Team chemestry? Free flowing football? Formation? Or even success in Europe? He may not be all that he said to be or is he? He is certainly not the player he is made out to be on the ever popular FIFA2009 video game by EA Sports in my opinion. Zlatan has tasted plenty of glory in Italy, but if there is a big league's reputation at stake, it is the Serie A. Ibrahimovic has known to be very cocky, arrogant. It is evident by the way he moves about the midfield line when Inter begins to struggle. He is slugglish and lathargic. He looks disinterested and frusterated. Inter Milan, as we all know is jammed packed full of tallent. Then why does everything seem to have to run through Zlatan? When recieving the ball, he often tries to do it by himself, some say perhaps for himself. And being tallented that allows him to scored a good chunk of goals each season. He fancies himself on a great deal of occasions from long range, connecting with a rippling net on only a couple of occasions. He is deadly from freekicks but so is a player like a Pirlo and he hasn't scored from open play in almost a year but still is an important part of a unit at Milan. Picture Ibra at Barcelona. As much as I hate to admit, their football was beautiful last season. It was free flowing and rapid, quick. Does Zlatan fit there? No, not at all. Let's try Arsenal. Known for the fast counter attacking and creative interplay, does Ibrahimovic fit here? Negative. Lets take a peak Bolton Wanderers. Simon Davies does the big forward job there, revieving long balls all day long and making the best of them, chipping in with his fair share of goals every season. Only thing he has that Ibrahimovic hasn't is a good work ethic making defenders irritated all match. So maybe a fit there, but like you I don't see our buddy Zlatan at the Reebok. Finally, He has yet to impress at all in Europe. Can he handle that stage? I recall a scene from the second leg of the first knock out stage of the Champions League last year. A free header for a 6'3 Zlatan at the edge of the 6 yard box that could have seen Internazionale through. Guess the result of that chance. It is unfair to judge him on that Champions League account alone, but when has he impressed on that stage? Many of you may think I am being a bit tough on this big guy. In his defense he has scored 15, 17, and 25 league goals respectively in the last 3 years and won 3 Serie A titles in 3 seasons at the club. You can respect him as a player, but ask yourself this. Would you wanna see Ibra wearing your clubs colors?
